John Cranor owns Cranor Inspection Services located in Glen Allen, Va. He joined ASHI in 1998 and has served as chairman of the Technical Committee and the Standards Committee. Under his leadership, the Technical Committee took responsibility for developing the high-profile Virtual Home Inspection on the ASHI Web site. As a third generation roofing contractor his experience in roofing spans more than 30 years.

Cranor is the past president of the Central Virgina Chapter of ASHI, and past President of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors (VAREI.)
