Membership renewal notices and continuing education forms have been mailed and e-mailed. Please consider the increased benefit of membership that certification brings, plus continued exposure to consumers via “Find an Inspector” and much more as you make the decision to renew.
Renewing now saves your association the cost of repeated requests — money that can be better spent on member benefits.
ASHI Certification Program approval announced at Board of Directors meeting
As reported in the July The Inspector e-newsletters and in last month’s Reporter, officers and directors learned the good news that ASHI’s Certification Program had been approved at the July Board of Directors meeting.
All ASHI leaders, including chapter presidents and those serving on the Council of Representatives, are being asked to help prepare voting members to approve the addition to ASHI Bylaws creating a Certification Committee, which is required to administer the program.
After learning that NCCA had approved ASHI’s Certification program, the Board conducted its regular business. Jeff Arnold, ASHI executive director/CEO, provided a recap of the action items during the July 17-18, 2009, meeting in Rosemont.
Highlights include Bill Jacques being confirmed as the new chair of the Education Committee. He is replacing Gregg Caudill, who requested the change due to the press of business.
Who should attend Leadership Training?
Chapters are encouraged to send their current and future leaders to the ASHI Leadership Training Program, Oct. 15-16, 2009, in Rosemont, Ill.
Sending members who have the potential to become leaders is making an investment in ASHI’s future. This year, the conference will kick off at noon on Thursday, October 15 and continue through Friday, October 16. It will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, Rosemont, Ill. The ASHI-negotiated room rate is $119 a night.
Chapter presidents are asked to return the reservation forms on behalf of their chapters by Sept. 18, 2009.
