C2 Bailey Gets Big Boost from the Brand

EDITED BY ASHI STAFF

As a Candidate with logo use, Joe W. Bailey, House Call Inspection Service, Collierville, Tenn., has access to all The ASHI Experience marketing material and is listed on Find an Inspector on ASHI’s Web site. In a recent e-mail to HQ, he shared what this has meant to him.

“I wanted to let you know, from the field, how The ASHI Experience is working for me. Since the launch of The ASHI Experience and the new ASHI Web site, my business has exploded. So much so I had to hire additional temporary help to keep pace with the inspection demands.

“Since March of this year, we have completed several hundred inspections and the trend continues through what should be the slow time in my area. What I have found is (that) a large portion of my business can be directly or indirectly traced back to The ASHI Experience and/or the Web site. I’m finding more of my clients educated in the home in-spection process,; asking more probing and detailed questions, and being more involved than ever before. In my state of Tennessee where there is no licensing law, I must com-pete with Big Bill every day. Big Bill can’t answer these client questions for the most part or perform up to the ASHI standards. The ASHI Experience has drawn a bold line separating the professional from Big Bill.

“My only concern/question is the survey. I previously had a customer feedback instrument that I gave up for the ASHI survey (thought I’d let y’all do the work). My survey return rate is up, but just slightly over 10 percent. I send the survey in a separate mailing so not to get lost in the paperwork mountain of buying a home. Any advice on how I can get this return rate up will be most appreciated. Without a good return rate I can’t see where I need to improve. Thanks for all you do to support my business!”

Joe,

What a pleasure it is to read your note. I’m very pleased to hear of your success. Keep up the great work! Regarding the survey cards, you are not alone with this concern. It’s typically a busy time during a move, as you know. Your 10 percent return rate is pretty good, and I like your idea of mailing it after the inspection. Perhaps you can alert them at the inspection that the survey will be coming soon, and let them know how important it is to you that they take the time to respond as it helps you improve.

Thank you again for sharing this testimonial with us. Your participation and support is very important to us, and I thank you for all the work you do.

Take care,

Rob Paterkiewicz, CAE,IOM,
ASHI executive director
