Advanced Level Conferences in Texas Earn Chapter Media Coverage

A  press release about two of three recent New Home conferences generated several newspaper contacts and a 30-second TV spot for the Lone Star chapter. The press release was distributed using a media list for the Dallas and Houston markets that was provided by ASHI national as a model for a program that is now available to all chapters.

Lone Star’s New Home conference is designed as an advanced, high level inspector course, and publicizing it enhances the chapter’s and its members’ professional image across the state. The class will be held again several times next year.

In addition to making the New Home conference available to more members next year, the Chapter is planning an 8-hour workshop (TREC and ASHI approved) to be held in Waco in early February. It will be an inexpensive seminar, covering the Standards of Practice and Report Writing, designed for ASHI Candidates in Texas to help them upgrade to full Member status.
