A Shocker

This “shocking” picture was taken in a Euclid, Ohio basement last year. The danger of mixing water and electricity left my client speechless. Apparently the homeowner thought it was alright to use the shower: note the shampoo bottles on the ledge.
Most of what we see in the field is unremarkable. The “Postcards” page is a great reminder that common sense is far from common.

Unclear on the relief concept

Have you ever seen a “manually controlled” Temperature - Pressure relief value on a water heater? Do you suppose it comes in handy for hosing down the attic or basement?

Ignorance is bliss.
