27 Years of Good Eating for MAC ASHI

It’s a close call regarding  who or what has been around longer in the MAC-ASHI Chapter: JD Grewell, who sent this photo, or the event he was attending. Grewel, who joined in 1979, and is ASHI member #193, reports that 75 people attended the 27th annual MAC-ASHI annual crab feast and beef and rib roast. Sunday, August 12. The good news: No one went home hungry.

Gear Up for the ASHI Chapter Enterprise Award

The ASHI Chapter Enterprise Award for Participation at InspectionWorld was established by an anonymous ASHI member who attributes his personal success as a home inspector and the prosperity of his multi-inspector firm to the ideas and information acquired by regularly attending InspectionWorld for many years. The idea is to get chapters to engage in some friendly competition to see who can send the highest percentage of their membership to IW, this year in New Orleans. See Announcements & Notices for more info.

And there’s more at stake than bragging rights. The two winning ASHI chapters receive a Certificate of Appreciation and an award in the amount of $750. The two winners come from two approximately equal-sized groups: chapters with 30 members or less and chapters with 31 members or more. The previous winners are California ASHI and the Quebec Association of Building Inspectors.

No chapter can receive the award more than once every three years, so this year there will be two new winners for sure. What are you waiting for? Start encouraging your chapter membership to be in New Orleans in January.
